Dynamic tags
Pull real site and post data into any text, URL, or image control.
Any control marked dynamic — a small icon appears next to eligible fields, most often URL fields and text fields on Theme Builder templates or popups — can be bound to a Dynamic Tag instead of a fixed value, resolved fresh on every page load.
Available tags
- Post Title, Post Excerpt, Post Date
- Author Name, Author Bio
- Featured Image URL
- Archive Title, Archive Description
- Comments Count
- Site Title, Site Tagline, Site URL
- Custom Field
- Shortcode
- Open Popup
Dynamic tags are what let Theme Builder's Single and Archive templates — and popups — show real, per-post content instead of placeholder text; see "Archive, single & 404 templates."
Forms use a separate, simpler set of merge tags for notification emails ({all_fields}, {source_url}, {post_id}, and more — see "Workflows & automations") — these aren't Dynamic Tags and don't share the same picker.
