Multi-step forms
Pages, step labels, progress bars, a start page and a review step before submitting.
A long form converts better split into short steps. In Craftor a step is a page: turn on Start a New Page Here in a field's Advanced tab and that field starts a new page. Once there are two or more, the Form widget's Content tab gains a Pages & Steps section with everything below.
Seeing and moving fields between pages
- The Form Fields list draws a "Page 2 — title" divider above the field that starts each page, so you can see at a glance which fields are on which page.
- Each field has up/down arrows in its header. Moving the first field of a page up sends it to the end of the previous page, and moving the last field down sends it to the start of the next — the page break stays where it is, so other fields never change pages by accident.
- Dragging a field's handle still works for longer moves.
Settings for each page
Pages & Steps → Pages lists one card per page. Each card has:
- Page Title and Page Description — shown at the top of that page.
- Step Label — a short name for the progress bar steps and table of contents (falls back to the page title).
- Show This Page If — the same rule builder as field conditional logic, so a whole page can be skipped based on earlier answers.
- Field Order — keep the order you built, or shuffle the fields for each visitor.
Page 1's settings are stored on the form and every later page's settings on the field that starts it, so they move with that field if you reorder or rename fields.
Progress
- Progress Bar — Off, Top, Bottom, or Top & Bottom.
- Progress Measures — pages completed, fields answered, required fields answered, or correct answers (for quizzes).
- Show Step Labels — turns the bar into clickable, labelled steps; Show Step Numbers adds 1, 2, 3.
- Table of Contents — a side list of every page visitors can jump between, on the left or right.
Navigation
- Button Position — buttons at the bottom, top, or both.
- Show Previous Button, and custom Next / Previous button text.
- Auto-advance to Next Page — moves on as soon as every field on the page is answered, with an optional Auto-submit on the last page.
- Button alignment and icons live in the Style tab — see "Styling forms".
Start page and review step
- First Page Is a Start Page — shows page 1 as an intro screen with a Start button; it isn't counted in the progress bar.
- Review Answers Before Submit — adds a Preview step listing every answer (or only the answered ones) with Edit buttons, before the form is actually submitted.
Without page breaks
Behavior → Step Mode can turn any form into steps without page breaks: One field per step shows a single field at a time, typeform-style. Everything on one page does the opposite and ignores page breaks entirely.
